TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ACADIA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, SMOKE WAS PRESENT UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE, FLAMES WERE PRESENT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
