Consumer Description
ONE DAY I NOTICED THAT MY GARAGE HAD A STRONG GAS SMELL. OVER TIME, I REALIZED THAT IF MY GAS TANK WAS APPROX. BELOW 1/3 FULL IT DID NOT SMELL. CHEVROLET INFORMED ME IT WAS COVERED FOR 100,000 MILES/10 YEARS WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. HOWEVER, I NEVER KNEW A RECALL COULD HAVE A TIME LIMIT BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I WROTE CHEVROLET A CERTIFIED LETTER DESCRIBING MY PROBLEM WITH NO RESPONSE. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WHICH IS CONFIRMED BY LOOKING AT YOUR SITE.
