Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS INITIALLY STARTED, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN. AFTER THE VEHICLE WARMED UP, THE STEERING WHEEL OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V222000 (STEERING). THE CONTACT STATED THAT POWER STEERING FLUID WAS LEAKING ONTO THE ENGINE, WHICH CAUSED IT TO SMOKE UNDER THE HOOD. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. *TT*JB
