NHTSA Complaint #11456249 — 2007 HONDA ACCORD

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the steering wheel was difficult to turn in either direction. Upon inspection, it was discovered that power steering fluid had leaked from the power steering fluid reservoir. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnose that the failure was due to a faulty power steering hose. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 160,000.
