Consumer Description

I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW, AND HAVE SLIGHTLY OVER 42,000 MILES ON IT. IN NOVEMBER 2018, WHEN DRIVING ON A 2 LANE ROAD IN THE CITY, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST ALL ACCELERATION AND THE WRENCH LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON. I HAD TO QUICKLY MANEUVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AS THE VEHICLE LOST SPEED AND CAME TO A STOP. PUSHING DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO A DEALER, WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS BINDING DUE TO CARBON BUILD-UP. THE DEALER REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AND CLEANED THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM AND FUEL METERING SYSTEM. AS THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, I HAD TO PAY OVER $650 FOR THE REPAIRS.
