Consumer Description
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 MERCEDES-BENZ C300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V081000 (AIR BAGS) AND 17V017000 (AIR BAGS) EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR REPAIR. THE DEALER (MERCEDES-BENZ OF NANUET, 99 NY-304, NANUET, NY 10954) ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE AIR BAGS REPLACED. THE CONTACT BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE IT REMAINED FOR THREE WEEKS WITHOUT BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
