Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THAT THE VEHICLE STARTED, BUT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS UNABLE TO MOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A NEW RACK AND PINION OR STEERING COLUMN WAS NEEDED OR THE COMPUTER WOULD NEED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000. *DT CONSUMER STATED VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY HAVING NEW STEERING COLUMN INSTALLED.
