Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 JEEP COMPASS. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. ALSO, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, IT TOOK MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO START THE ENGINE. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED AND WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE DRIVER SUFFERED NECK AND BACK INJURIES AND THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGERS SUFFERED NECK INJURIES. THERE WAS NO MEDICAL ATTENTION RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER (RAY LAETHEM CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, 18001 MACK AVE, DETROIT, MI) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000. *DT CONSUMER STATED VEHICLE IS WAITING TO BE REPAIRED.*JB
