Consumer Description

WHILE DRIVING ON A RESIDENTIAL ROAD MY CAR STOPPED WITHOUT INDICATION, I PRESSED ON THE PEDAL BUT IT WOULDN'T GO. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTED IT RIGHT AWAY AND IT CAME BACK ON. THE NEXT TIME IT WAS ON THE HIGHWAY, EVERYTHING ON THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING BUT THE GAS PEDAL WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING AND IT JUST STOPPED. I TRIED RESTARTING THE CAR BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN BACK ON. THE CAR MADE A LOUD STUTTERING NOISE LIKE IT WANTED TO START BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN ON. ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH FLICKERED OFF AND ON THE WHOLE TIME WHILE TRYING TO RESTART IT. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET IT BACK ON AFTER ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES OF TRYING TO RESTART IT. I FOUND A RECALL ON THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR WHICH CAUSES THE ENGINE TO STALL BUT I CHECKED MY VIN AND IT SHOWS THAT THERE ISN'T A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH MY VIN. THE RECALL WITH CHRYSLER IS S89.
