Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE ODOR OF BURNING OIL WAS PRESENT BEFORE THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE OIL DIP STICK WAS LOW. ONCE OIL WAS ADDED, THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE OIL WAS LAST CHANGED ON AUGUST 13, 2018. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER SUNRISE TOYOTA (3984 SUNRISE HWY, OAKDALE, NY) WERE BOTH NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
