Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 BMW X5. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SERVICE ENGINE INDICATOR FLASHED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO PASS AN INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR FACILITY WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID TANK WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
