TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 NISSAN ALTIMA. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICE, THE MESSAGE "NO KEY" APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND PREVENTED THE CONTACT FROM STARTING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JEFFERY NISSAN (LOCATED AT 30800 GRATIOT AVE, ROSEVILLE, MI 48066, (586) 510-1378) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOCKING MECHANISM THAT RECEIVED THE SIGNAL FROM THE KEYS FOR THE TOUCH START NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
