Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK INTO ANY OTHER GEAR, WHICH LEFT THE CONTACT STRANDED FOR HOURS. A LOANER VEHICLE WAS PROVIDED BY MCGRATH FORD (4001 1ST AVE SE, CEDAR RAPIDS, IA 52402, (319) 366-4000, 319-364-0181) AS OF AUGUST 27, 2018. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
