Consumer Description

TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 VOLKSWAGEN CC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, WHICH WAS A SAFETY CONCERN. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V509000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE), 15V483000 (AIR BAGS), AND 18V148000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE REPAIRS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PALMETTO 57 VOLKSWAGEN (16825 NW 57TH AVE, MIAMI GARDENS, FL 33055, (305) 760-9527), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED DUE TO THE PARTS BEING UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
