TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW X3. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER; 17V683000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATER BLEW OUT EXTREMELY HOT OR COLD AIR WHEN ACTIVATED. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED BMW OF BAKERSFIELD (5400 GASOLINE ALLEY DR., BAKERSFIELD, CA 93313, (661) 396-4040) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT
