TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE, THERE WAS A FUEL ODOR AROUND THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V777000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED CAPITAL FORD AT (877) 659-2496 (4900 CAPITAL BLVD, RALEIGH, NC 27616) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 191,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
