Consumer Description

AT TIMES WHEN DRIVING EITHER ON A CITY STREET OR HIGHWAY, THE TRANSMISSION WILL DOWNSHIFT TO LOW GEAR OUT OF NOWHERE. EX: I'M DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT HIGH SPEEDS AND I HEAR THAT SOUND...LIKE IT HAS BEEN THROWN IN 1ST GEAR. AT TIMES HAVE BEEN DRIVING 60+ MPH WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED. THE ONLY WAY TO "RESET" IS TO HURRY AND PULL OVER AND RESTART VEHICLE. IT HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES, BUT SPORADICALLY, DURING THE PAST COUPLE YEARS. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT, JUST A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO IN APRIL 2018. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT COMES ON. I NOTICE A RECALL FOR TRANSMISSIONS, BUT MY VIN DOES NOT SHOW IT IS NEEDED ON MY MODEL CAR.
