Consumer Description

TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD RANGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V788000 (AIR BAGS) WAS RECEIVED IN DECEMBER OF 2017, INDICATING THAT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. AFTER CONTACTING SEVERAL UNKNOWN LOCAL DEALERS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED BACK TO THE DEALERS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
