Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 328I. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, SMOKE APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD. AFTER TURNING OFF THE ENGINE, SMOKE CONTINUED TO STREAM FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FOR MORE THAN THREE HOURS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT ANTIFREEZE LEAKED FROM A HOSE ATTACHED TO THE RADIATOR. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (GLOBAL BMW IN ATLANTA, GA) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
