Consumer Description

MY AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT LIT UP ON THE DASH CLUSTER. (CONCOMITANTLY, I NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS FOR THE HORN, RADIO AND CRUISE CONTROL ALSO STOPPED WORKING.) RESEARCH SHOWED GM RECALL 14139 FOR FAILURE OF SPIRAL CABLE ASSEMBLY (CONNECTED TO AIRBAG MODULE, HORN, CRUISE CONTROL AND RADIO); HOWEVER, WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS CAR WAS NOT AMONG THE RECALLED VEHICLES. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? THE STEERING WHEEL HAS NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY REMOVED. ANY PROBLEM WITH THE SPIRAL CABLE WAS INBORN AT THE FACTORY.
