Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 GMC ENVOY. WHEN THE CONTACT TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH, THE PASSENGER SIDE REARVIEW MIRROR WOULD GO UP AND DOWN, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT MOVED BACK INDEPENDENTLY, AND ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT HAD TO USE THE DIMMER SWITCH TO TURN DOWN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING. THE CONTACT CALLED BECKER BUICK GMC AT (509) 455-3550 (LOCATED AT 636 E SPRAGUE AVE, SPOKANE, WA 99202) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
