Consumer Description

TAKATA RECALL. I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE, IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, WHEN MY CAR BEGAN TO SLOW IT REFUSED TO MAINTAIN MY SPEED OR ACCELERATE AT ALL. I HAD TO PULL INTO THE MEDIAN TO AVOID BEING HIT BY AN 18 WHEELER. I HAD MY SISTER AND TWO OF OUR LITTLE KIDS IN THE CAR WITH ME. THIS IS NOT THE ONLY TIME IT HAS DONE THIS IT HAS DONE IT SEVERAL TIMES NOW AND THE MECHANICS CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I HAVE READ SEVERAL PLACES WHERE OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE.... I BELIEVE THEIR IS A MANUFACTURER DEFAULT WITH EITHER THE ACCELERATION OR TRANSMISSION.... IT JUST REVS UP SOUNDS LIKE IT'S DOING SOMETHING BUT NOT INCREASING SPEED. I HAVE NOTICED THAT IT OCCURS MOSTLY AFTER I HAVE BEEN TRAVELING A WHILE...LIKE ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF OR SO
