Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING RETURN HOSE FAILED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED BEFORE OR AFTER THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE CONTACT DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE HIMSELF AND DETERMINED THAT THE FAULTY PART WAS THE POWER STEERING RETURN HOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WANTED HIS VEHICLE INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V273000 (STEERING) BECAUSE HE BELIEVED THE FAILURE WAS RELEVANT TO THE RECALL. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
