Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO CRANK. ALSO, THE BATTERY WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND SMOKE APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AND FIAT NORTH COLUMBUS (3000 N LAKE PKWY #100, COLUMBUS, GA 31909, (706) 522-2116) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WOULD BE A FEE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
