Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 VOLKSWAGEN CC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ESC WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING MORE THAN TWICE. THE DEALER (TEAM GUNTHER KIA AND TEAM GUNTHER VOLKSWAGEN OF DAPHNE, 29816 FREDERICK BLVD, DAPHNE, AL 36526, (251) 621-2277) DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP SENSOR AND THE FLANGE MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE PART NUMBER CHECKED BY THE CONTACT SHOWED THAT IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE PERTAINING TO THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V509000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THEY CHECKED WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
