Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD TAURUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAULT WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THERE WAS A TOTAL LOSS OF POWER IN EITHER DIRECTION OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED BY A DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
