Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD WINDSTAR. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE AXLE FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO RICART FORD (4255 S HAMILTON RD, GROVEPORT, OH 43125) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR AXLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REPAIR WAS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V608000 (SUSPENSION). THE LOCAL DEALER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WOULD COVER THE INSPECTION; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE REPAIRS WOULD BE THE CONTACT'S RESPONSIBILITY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
