Consumer Description

CAR WILL SPORADICALLY GO INTO LIMP HOME MODE WHILE DRIVING. NEVER SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WHILE PARKED OR NOT MOVING. THE WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON AND I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND LET IT SIT FOR A GOOD 15 TO 20 MINUTES. I CAN THEN START IT BACK UP AND IT RUNS LIKE THERE IS NO PROBLEM. MECHANIC CAN'T FIND THE ISSUE BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISAPPEARS AND NO ERROR CODE IS GIVEN. HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY AND REGULAR CITY STREETS. SEEMS TO BE RELATED TO A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS CAR. HAPPENS A FEW TIMES A YEAR BUT SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE. ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY MALFUNCTION NHTSA PRELIMINARY EVALUATION #PE13003
