Consumer Description

WHEN PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK AND PRESSING THE START/STOP BUTTON TO TURN OF THE CAR, IGNITION WILL NOT TURN OFF. THE CAR WILL REMAIN IN AUXILIARY MODE INSTEAD OF TURNING COMPLETELY OFF. THE CAR CANNOT BE LEFT IN THIS STATE BECAUSE THE BATTERY WOULD CONTINUE TO DRAIN THE AND DOORS CANNOT BE LOCKED WHILE IN AUXILIARY MODE. THE ISSUE IS DESCRIBED HERE: HTTPS://MAZDA.OEMDTC.COM/665/IGNITION-DOES-NOT-TURN-OFF-WHEN-PRESSING-STARTSTOP-BUTTON-2013-2014-MAZDA I WAS TOLD BY DEALER THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART IS USUALLY BACKORDERED BECAUSE THIS HAPPENS TO PRETTY MUCH ALL VEHICLES FROM THAT MODEL YEAR. EVENTUALLY THIS HAPPENS ABOUT 90% OF THE TIME THE CAR IS PARKED.
