Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 TOYOTA TUNDRA. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE SUBFRAME WAS SEVERE RUSTED AND CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LYNCH TOYOTA OF MANCHESTER, CT WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXAMINED IN 2014 PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V444000 (STRUCTURE), BUT NO SERVICE WAS PERFORMED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF RUST AT THAT TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 173,000. *JS
