Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD EXPLORER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, CARBON MONOXIDE ENTERED INTO THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER VENTS ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT SUFFERED HEADACHES AND FELT A TINGLING SENSATION IN HIS HEAD AFTER EXPOSURE. CORWIN FORD OF KENNEWICK, WASHINGTON WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 7, 2017. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT CARBON MONOXIDE LEAKED INTO THE VEHICLE FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE UNDER THE BUMPER WHERE EXHAUST ENTERED FROM TWO OPENINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER OFFERED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
