Consumer Description

NHTSA RECALL # 16V-668 ON MY 2012 JEEP COMPASS IS STILL INCOMPLETE. THE MANUFACTURER STILL ADVISES THERE IS NO REMEDY, EVEN THOUGH IT HAS ALMOST BEEN A YEAR SINCE THE RECALL WAS ISSUED. I AM TRYING TO TRADE THIS VEHICLE IN AND THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THEY CAN'T ACCEPT A 2012 EXCELLENT CONDITION JEEP COMPASS WITH 54,000 MILES ON IT, BECAUSE OF A RECALL THAT CAN'T BE FIXED. THEREFORE, I AM BEING PENALIZED FOR SOMETHING THAT IS COMPLETELY OUT OF MY CONTROL AND IS THE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MANUFACTURER.
