Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR AJAR WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED LIT EVEN THOUGH THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS CLOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INTERIOR LIGHTING REMAINED ILLUMINATED AND CAUSED DECREASED VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING. THE KINGSVILLE DEALER WAS CONTACTED, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000. UPDATED 10/24/17*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE DOORS WOULD NOT LOCK WHILE THE DRIVER WAS IN THE CAR, WHICH COULD BE A SECURITY ISSUE. IT COULD ALSO CAUSE THE BATTERY DIE. UPDATED 10/26/2017*JS
