Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE SLOWING DOWN AND RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FRIENDLY FORD (660 N DECATUR BLVD, LAS VEGAS, NV 89107 (800) 928-7190), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED DUE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC FEES. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V348000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
