TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC ACADIA. WHILE PERFORMING AN OIL CHANGE ON THE VEHICLE, THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE RACK AND PINION WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000.
