Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE REFUELING THE VEHICLE AND WHILE THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL, THE NOZZLE CLICKED AND FUEL SUDDENLY SPILLED FROM THE FUEL TANK HOLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000. UPDATED 10/17/17*LJ *JS
