Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SHIFT LEVER FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BOWSAK DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT LEVER WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NHTSA WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN THAT COVERED THE FAILURE. A CASE NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 26,000.
