Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V312000 (AIR BAGS). THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER (ORANGE DODGE IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA) WAS CALLED AND PROMISED TO CALL THE CONTACT BACK, BUT FAILED TO DO SO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND FLASHED EVERY TEN MINUTES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 219,300. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
