Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE TIM SHORT FORD DEALER, LOCATED ON 107 ROCKWOOD LN, HAZARD, KY 41701, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING UNDERNEATH THE SEAT WAS FRACTURED AND CAUSED THE AIR BAG SYSTEM TO DEACTIVATE. THE WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V875000 (SEAT BELTS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
