Consumer Description

ABOUT APRIL 2017 I NOTICED A TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE AREA OF MY TRUCK. I ALSO NOTICED HESITATION WHEN I ACCELERATE AND MY FUEL ECONOMY HAS DROPPED. THERE IS A DISTINCT JERKING SENSATION WHEN DRIVING. MY CONCERN IS THAT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE IN CERTAIN GEARS AND I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. MY TRUCK HAS THE FORD 5.4L V8 ENGINE AND UPON MY OWN RESEARCH, THIS ENGINE IS NOTORIOUS FOR THE CAM PHASER GOING BAD, ALONG WITH OTHER RELATED ISSUES.
