Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 SUBARU FORESTER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD TO CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 5,000 MILES AND NOTICED THAT THE OIL LEVEL WAS LOW. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WAS PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE FAILED AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE SHORT BLOCK NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
