Consumer Description

2013 GMC TERRAIN WITH 119,000 MILES HAS EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH GMC, CHEV AND BUICKS. THERE WAS A TSB ISSUED 13-06-01-003F. IN 2014, GM WAS FIXING ALL VEHICLES UNDER WARRANTY, UNFORTUNATELY MINE DID NOT OCCURE UNTIL THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. I HAD CHANGED MY OIL EVERY 5,000 TO 7,000 MILES USING THE SYNTHETIC BLEND RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. WHEN TRYING TO START MY VEHICLE, ALL CHECK ENGINE, LIGHTS, ETC CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE WENT INTO POWER SHUT DOWN MODE, WHICH LUCKILY MY VEHICLE WASN'T MOVING.
