Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 INFINITI M35. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON THE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND SPONTANEOUSLY CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE PARKED AT HOME THE FOLLOWING DAY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT SEND ANYONE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
