Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD EXPLORER. WHENEVER THE AIR CONDITIONING RECIRCULATING OPTION WAS ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO FILL UP WITH CARBON DIOXIDE. THE CONTACT PURCHASED A CARBON DIOXIDE MONITOR THAT INDICATED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS RELEASING CARBON DIOXIDE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION REGARDING THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, A RECALL HAD NOT BEEN ISSUED. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
