Consumer Description
(1)I PURCHASED MY TRUCK IN JANUARY, 2017. (2)ON MONDAY, FEB. 6, 2017 ' I NOTED THE FIRST ELECTRIC ISSUES AS THE TRUCK PROVIDED A WARNING INDICATOR THAT MY BRAKE FLUID WAS LOW. LATER IN THE DAY, THE INDICATOR WENT AWAY. (3)ON WEDNESDAY, FEB. 8, 2017, THE ELECTRIC ERROR MESSAGES REAPPEARED. I CALLED THE FORD SERVICE HOTLINE IN THE MORNING AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE TRUCK TO A QUALIFIED FORD SERVICE SHOP. (4)LATER IN THE DAY ON 2/8/17 (AROUND LUNCH) ' I TOOK THE TRUCK TO FORD SERVICE SHOP. AT THAT TIME, THE SERVICE TECH PERFORMED A 'FACTORY-RESET' (HIS TERM) OF THE BATTERY. AFTER PERFORMING THE RESET ' I WAS CLEARED TO LEAVE DEALER AND I LEFT THE SERVICE AREA. (5)I THEN EXITED THE SERVICE COMPOUND. AFTER LEAVING THE SERVICE SHOP, MY TRUCK SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO JUMP THE TRUCK WITH A JUMP BOX, THE TRUCK WAS TOWED BACK TO FORD DEALERSHIP FOR ANOTHER SERVICE. MY TRUCK WAS KEPT FOR SEVERAL DAYS FOR FURTHER SERVICE. (6)ON FRIDAY, MARCH 3, 2017, THE ELECTRIC WARNINGS MANIFESTED AGAIN. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE TRUCK TO FORD FOR SERVICE. UPON ARRIVING AT SERVICE STATION, THE WARNING LIGHTS HAD TURNED OFF. THE SERVICE TECH TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO TRIGGER THE ERROR, BUT IT DID NOT COME BACK ON. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO LEAVE AND COME BACK WHEN THEY CAME BACK ON. I LEFT THE SERVICE AREA. (7)A SHORT TIME LATER, THE WARNINGS CAME BACK ON AND I RETURNED TO THE SERVICE CENTER. THIS TIME THE WARNING LIGHTS REMAINED ON AND MY TRUCK WAS IMMEDIATELY TAKEN FOR SERVICE.
