Consumer Description

STARTING AT ABOUT 30K THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ERROR CODE READ PO456 (SMALL EVAP LEAK), DODGE DEALER (PETERSON ) STATED THAT THE COMPUTER WAS SO SENSITIVE THAT THEY (THE DEALER) COULD NOT DETECT SUCH A SMALL LEAK.. SO I WAS TOLD THEY CHANGED OUT SOME COMMON ITEMS THAT HAD KNOWN ISSUES AND IT SHOULD BE FIX.. AT ABOUT 37K SAME EXACT ISSUE SAME EXACT ERROR CODE SAME EXACT RESPONSE FROM THE DEALER.. BUT THIS TIME I WAS TOLD THEY JUST REPLACED THE WHOLE EVAP SYSTEM AND TO MAKE SURE I DON'T OVERFILL THE FUEL TANK.... NOW AT 54K SAME EXACT ISSUE SAME ERROR PO456 ..BUT NOW A MUCH MORE NOTICEABLE HEAVY 'FUEL' SMELL IN THE CAB ' AND I'VE BEEN VERY CAREFUL NOT TO 'OVERFILL' THE FUEL TANK'.BEST PART DEALER IS SAYING SORRY OUT OF WARRANTY.. HUH, THAT'S CONVENIENT.
