Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE LOW VOLTAGE, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, AND ABS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND A LOSS OF POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPIGN NUMBER: 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 53,000.
