TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN AND BECAME STUCK IN FIRST GEAR. THE WRENCH WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER A WHILE AND WAS DRIVEN HOME. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 224,000.
