TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE RAM 1500. WHEN RELEASING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, THE LATCH DETACHED. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE LATCH WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
