Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WITH THE PARKING BRAKE APPLIED, IT ROLLED AWAY AND CRASHED INTO A HANDICAP PARKING POLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE APPLICATION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONTROL UNIT FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V725000 (PARKING BRAKE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,050.
